Walk through the door of Ray White Glenroy and you might have to double check that you’ve come to the right place. If it doesn’t feel like your typical real estate agency…well, it isn’t.

“From upbeat music and a café style reception with sparkling water on tap to a basketball ring and a full size tree, we think our office offers a great work-life balance,” says co-owner Ziya Koksal.

It’s all in the name of making staff feel valued, so that they can be at their best while maintaining first class service for the customers that Ziya and his business partner, Mete Karan, value so much.

“When we took over the business in September 2016, we were an independent brand with no clear vision. In May 2017, we joined Australia’s largest real estate group, Ray White. Now we’re inspired to revolutionise our industry and improve its reputation,” says Mete.

Glenroy seemed the perfect place to start a real estate business, with a shift in young investors and home buyers from the inner north entering the market. And the company’s success, which includes 70 per cent growth in its property management portfolio and tripling its staff in its first two years, shows that their hunch paid off.

A defining moment came when Ray White Glenroy were given the opportunity to market one of the area’s largest homes. The sellers were dissatisfied with their current agents and went to Ziya and Mete hoping for something different.

“A revamped campaign, extensive digital and print marketing…six weeks later our clients achieved a record selling price for a home in Glenroy, and the end of a very stressful time,” says Ziya.

The pair love working with and contributing to their local community. Ray White Glenroy sponsors the Glenroy Football Club, local schools and events and is planning a Glenroy Carnival together with Moreland City Council and the Glenroy Football Club.
